The call for proposals for activities of the Research Night 2022 is Open

Scientists from all over Catalonia can now send their activity proposals for the new edition of the European Research Night in Catalonia, which this year will be held around 30 September.

The European Night of Research is a public event dedicated to the popularization of science that takes place every year in more than 300 cities in 30 countries in Europe at the same time. Its objective is to bring research and its protagonists closer to the public of all ages and to make research and innovation known in a simple and fun way.

Thus, the research staff, disseminators and communicators of science, can propose their activities to build this year’s program. Among these, we will find micro-talks (face-to-face or deferred), talks, workshops, round tables and talks in schools, the latter corresponding to the event prior to the Night, The Morning of Research.

In addition, the speakers may choose to carry out their activity in any of the main territories (Barcelona, Girona, Lérida, Tarragona and Vic or Central Catalonia), so that the organization of each territory will allocate them to one of its venues in which activities will take place.

If you are a scientific staff, submit your activity in the form corresponding to your node of interest before June 26.

The European Research Night in Catalonia is coordinated by a consortium formed by the University of Girona (UdG), the University of Barcelona (UB), the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVIc-UCC), the University of Lleida (UdL), the Rovira i Virgili University (URV), the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), the Bofill Foundation and the Catalan Association for Scientific Communication (ACCC) . All of them have come together to organize the Research Night in their respective territories and in a collaborative way. Last year’s edition brought together more than 200 activities, both face-to-face and deferred micro-talks, which were collected on the event’s YouTube channel.

Fill out the form for scientific staff to present activities and for schools that want to request activities in Barcelona that you will find at this link before June 26
